Nikodimos (Nikos) Provatas is a Senior Software Engineer specialized in data engineering. Nikos holds an Engineering Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Currently, Nikos is pursuing a PhD at NTUA, researching distributed infrastructure for Machine and Deep Learning.

Professionally, Nikos brings over eight years of experience in data engineering and has a solid background in machine learning. Nikos has primarily worked with Apache Spark in both On-premise and Cloud environment setups where he has handled both batch and streaming workloads for Big Data cases. Nikos has also been engaged in modernizing existing data infrastructure.

Outside work, he enjoys gym workouts, painting and urban photography.
